Hey mamas! So of course we know that to support and have a healthy baby and pregnancy, we need the right proper nutrients to help with that growth. Our bodies are undergoing a lot of changes and
it can be overwhelming trying to figure out what is best to take.
Personally, having a natural plant-based prenatal was priority. Not all prenatals are the same and if you are on a plant-based diet, you would want something that does not contain fish oil for your omega 3s. There are alternatives to getting your omega 3s through kelp powder (which is what's in the fish ;) ). As always before taking aNY supplements PLEASE consult with your doctor or healthcare provider. This brand in particular I was very fond of because it covered all the basic necessities needed to support my pregnancy when it came to the serving amounts. I'm not a pill person, so the less I have to take the better in my opinion. How do you know what you have is enough? It is very important to check the serving size and nutritional facts on the back.

The main lookout for me to confirm was the iron, folate and iodine servings. For example, you see that for iron it has a serving size of 27mg. Folate is 800mcg and iodine is 290mcg. Now this is good! According to the nutritional requirements recommended by doctors you want to range between 400-800 mcg for Folate and 240mcg-290mcg for Iodine. So what is the catch? The serving size. To meet these servings you would need to take 3 capsules daily to reach it. This bottle in particular is 90 capsules, so a month supply.
I did compare to other brands as well, but they either were lacking in one nutrient or it would require more pills to take to reach it. Then there is the price check too. Now, if you want to save I recommend Amazon. They have a subscription option where it sends monthly and knocks off a few dollars for $26.51. That is my suggestion, or you can do a one time purchase of $27.90. It all is an investment so whatever fits your budget, I say go with it! I do the monthly, but they also have a 180 capsule option where you get a 2 month supply.
Overall this is my recommendation for a plant-based prenatal. Again with the iron, if you do need to increase I suggest the Floradix liquid iron to help keep your blood flow and energy up. :)
