Pregnancy Acne! Had no idea this was a thing, and man I tell you it hit me hard my 1st and 2nd trimester. I had no clue what was happening to my face. Before we even found out we were pregnant, I had a normal breakout, as I would before my cycle starts. This to me was just fine, because it comes and goes. A few pimples and I just deal with it. I didn't think anything of it, but when it began to get worse after the time period of my cycle would pass (which I did not have) then I was concerned. What was strange as well was that the bridge of my nose and cheeks were inflamed and did not seem like it was going anywhere with the skin regiment I was doing. Around this time, I also was looking to switch skin care products and use a more natural skin care line that was black-owned as well. I came across L&L Beauty, which is now called Sevyn Care and noticed their line of products were all natural ingredients and contained tea tree oil and black charcoal for their facial cleanser.
Seeing reviews and results, I thought I would give their Glow Kit a try.
This includes the facial wash, toner moisturizer
and mask.
My results varied as you see, and when changing any skin care product you will also have a reaction and need to allow your skin time to adjust. I started using the Glow kit in October 2020

and really didn't start seeing a change until December. Even after, I still had some breakouts but the difference to me was that I was starting to clear up. It was a minor change, but a huge difference than before. Now, fast forward to March 2021, I'm still using the same kit for the facial cleanser, but need to re-stock on my toner and moisturizer. With this pregnancy, I do believe it had a lot to factor in with my results than others who saw change in 2 weeks.

With my hormones all over the place and not to mention an extreme body change happening, I see it only fair to continue to use this product. Results do vary differently per person. As you also see I have a lot of hyper-pigmentation as well. So even though my inflammation and pimples went down, I still have some marks, but I embrace it as part of the journey.

I feel I'm now at a "clearing phase" and the hyper-pigmentation is going down more. They are clearing slowly but surely. I'm not having nearly as many breakouts as I was before for sure. The inflammation reduction was key for me, but if you use it twice a day as instructed, one kit can last about 60 days.

I also love how you don't need a lot to cleanse. It literally is just a dime size amount that you need and the toner you just would spray on. You can use a cotton ball, but I like the direct results of just spraying directly on the face and letting it air dry. I actually have a fan I use to speed the drying process but once added and using the Wifey Glow Oil really gave me the results I personally needed. I did add a Witch Hazel astringent to my regiment as well because the inflammation was extreme as you see in January. That along with masking once a week helped lift and clear my skin up as well. It was all an effort worth trying, and I'm still going. Loving my results thus far.
